Premier League predictions for Sunday 29th October 2023
West Ham United take on Everton at the London Stadium. It’s been a bad week for The Hammers with two defeats against Aston Villa and Olympiakos. It’s been a difficult week for Everton as their owner Bill Kenwright passed away. Everton were unlucky not to get a result at Anfield as Ibrahima Konate should have been sent off for a second yellow card. Everton are currently in 16th position in the table but could face a damaging 12 point deduction due to financial rules. West Ham have been in good form this season as they have only lost one Premier League game at the London Stadium. Score prediction 2-0
Liverpool host Nottingham Forest at Anfield. It’s been a good week for Liverpool as they got two wins against Everton and Toulouse. The Thursday and Sunday schedule of the Europa League won’t affect Jurgen Klopp’s men as they have the squad to cope with playing multiple games. Liverpool have not yet lost a game in the Premier League this season at Anfield. Forest’s best result away from home this season was a one nil win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. This might be a game were Forest catch Liverpool cold after playing on Thursday. Score prediction 3-1
Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Fulham to the AMEX Stadium. Brighton made history throughout the week as they won their first European game against Ajax. Brighton are without Danny Welbeck and Solly Marsh for a while due to injury and missing these players is a huge blow. Fulham created plenty of chances in their last away game against Tottenham Hotspur but failed to be clinical in front of goal. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored 14 goals in the 2022/2023 Premier League season for Fulham but he left Craven Cottage in the Summer and they have struggled to replace his goals. Score prediction 2-1
Aston Villa host Luton Town at Villa Park. Unai Emery has done an incredible job with Aston Villa as they are currently fifth in the Premier League table. Ollie Watkins has transformed his game under Emery as he has scored five goals so far in the 2023/2024 Premier League. Aston Villa are unbeaten at Villa Park this season in the Premier League and achieved a couple of big wins especially in scoring six against Brighton. The highlight of Luton’s season was an away win against Everton at Goodison Park. This game will be extremely difficult for Luton with Aston Villa in great form but the away side will look to create a chance or two on the counter attack. Score prediction 3-1
These four games are on early with three scheduled for 2pm and this isn’t great for a neutral fan with having to choose what game to watch. The neutral fan would love a later game on a Sunday at around 7pm as this worked great during the covid season a couple of years ago. My predictions for these games are four home wins and it’s hard to see were an away win can come from these games. Hope you enjoy Sunday’s Premier League action and don’t forget to adjust your clock so you don’t miss the football.
