Premier League preview for Saturday 13th May 2023

My predictions for Saturday’s Premier League games. Huge games down for decision at both ends of the table which includes the meeting of Everton versus Manchester City at Goodison Park. It’s the time of the season were you see funny results especially in the last round of fixtures as Everton put five past Brighton at The AMEX. It would be a disaster if the relegation battle or title race is decided by a bad VAR decision.

The action begins in the early kick-off on Saturday at Elland Road as Leeds United host Newcastle. Sam Allardyce takes on his former team as Leeds need a result to avoid relegation. The positive for Leeds is that they didn’t get hammered at the Etihad as they only narrowly lost by two goals to one. Leeds are currently in 19th after both Nottingham Forest and Everton both won on Monday. Newcastle had a rare off day as they lost their last game at home to Arsenal. Newcastle still need points to guarantee top four but Leeds will be doomed if they don’t get anything from this game. The Premier League needs Leeds to avoid relegation as they have been very refreshing in the division over the last three seasons. Score prediction 1-1

Aston Villa take on Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park. Spurs are currently three points above Villa in the table but this game could be massive to see who finishes in Europa League positions. Harry Kane scored his 209th Premier League goal against Crystal Palace and Spurs will need the English man to score to achieve a good result at Villa Park. Villa are capable of achieving great results at home as they drew against Man City and won against Man United this season. Score prediction 1-2

Chelsea take on Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge. Frank Lampard finally got his first win as caretaker manager as Chelsea won against Bournemouth last weekend. Forest gave their relegation hopes a huge boost as they scored four in their latest win against Southampton. Chelsea have been poor this season at home but Forest record away from home is also not great. Score prediction 1-1

Crystal Palace take on AFC Bournemouth at Selhurst Park. Palace were unlucky to lose at Spurs last weekend as they created some great chances. Bournemouth lost their last game at home but Gary O’ Neill has done an outstanding job since taken over from Scott Parker. Roy Hodgson has transformed Palace since returning as they scored five against Leeds and four against West Ham. Both teams are safe with Palace on 40 points and Bournemouth on 39 points so it could be a dull game to watch. Score prediction 1-0

Manchester United have a massive game this weekend as they host Wolves at Old Trafford. Man United are doing their best to throw away fourth spot as they lost their last two away games against Brighton and West Ham. At least Man United are at home this weekend as they only lost one Premier League game at home this season which was against Brighton on the opening weekend. Man United will open up a four point lead on fifth place Liverpool for 48 hours if they achieve a home win as Liverpool are not playing until Monday. Wolves have been exceptional under Julen Lopetegui as they reached 40 points after their win against Aston Villa. Wolves will still look to finish as high as they can in the league and they feel that they are playing Man United at the right time especially with losing their last two games. Score prediction 2-0

Relegation threatened Southampton take on Fulham at St Mary’s. Southampton scored three goals in their last game but it wasn’t enough to get a result against Forest. Southampton are running out of games as they are currently six points behind 19th Leeds. Fulham were in fantastic form as they scored five against The Foxes at Craven Cottage on Monday. Marco Silva has done an excellent job considering it’s Fulham’s first season back in the Premier League. Score prediction 1-3

Hope you enjoy Saturday’ Premier League action.
