Four players are tied for the lead on -11 with two rounds to play at RBC Heritage

Hilton Head is the venue for RBC Heritage. Harbour Town is a par 71 which includes an iconic lighthouse at 18. This was the fifth PGA Tour Signature Event of 2024 with a prize fund of $20,000,000. 69 players participated in this event which included major champions Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Wyndham Clark, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas. Two balls will be the order of play for four days with there been no halfway cut.

Day one leader JT Poston -8 continued to impress on Friday with a front nine of -2 to reach -10. Poston’s only birdie on the back nine came at 10 and finished with a par to shoot 68. Collin Morikawa brought his good form from Augusta to Harbour Town due to an opening -6 round of 65. Morikawa made his fifth birdie of day two at 16 to join Poston -11. 2023 Europe Ryder Cup participant Sepp Straka -6 shot an impressive back nine of -5 on Friday and made it a three-way tie at the top of leaderboard on -11. There was room for one more player to join the lead on -11 as Tom Hoge -4 shot an outstanding -7 round of 64.

Ludvig Aberg has been outstanding since he turned professional in 2023 with already playing in a Ryder Cup, finishing second at Augusta and winning both on PGA Tour & DP World Tour. Aberg was paired with McIlroy for day one and two of RBC Heritage. The Swedish star started day two -5 due to an opening round of 66. Aberg finished Friday with three birdies in four holes to shoot a second consecutive -5 round of 66. Patrick Rodgers also achieved a second consecutive-5 round on Friday to join Aberg on -10.

2021 FedEx Cup champion Patrick Cantlay was paired with Seamus Power for day one and two. Cantlay started day two on -4 and reached -8 due to an excellent front nine of 32. Cantlay’s back nine of -1 included two birdies & one bogey and will head into Saturday’s round on -9. Sahith Theegala -5 continued to impress on day two especially with shooting a front nine of -4. Theegala finished Friday on -9 and is within two shots of leaders.
