A improvement from Tiger Woods on day two at the Hero World Challenge

Tiger Woods played with Rickie Fowler on day two. Woods got off to a perfect start with birdies at both the 1st and 2nd hole. The third at Albany is a reachable par five but Woods could only manage a disappointing par. The fourth hole at Albony is a difficult par four and Woods played the first four holes in two under after a fantastic up and down.

The second par five on the front nine is the par five sixth hole. Woods second shot ended up in the greenside bunker but a sensational up and down saw the 15 time major winner reach three under. The seventh hole is another chance for the big hitters as it’s a drivable par four. Five time Hero World Challenge winner continued to impress on his second round as he reached four under after holing a short range birdie putt. The Eight hole is one of the most difficult holes on the front nine at Albony as it’s an 214 yard par three. Woods missed the green with his tee shot but kept the momentum in his favour as he got up and down for a par.

Woods injuries in his lower body meant that his upper body muscles are now much bigger. The ninth at Albony plays 625 yards and it takes an unbelievable second shot as the green is narrow. Woods missed the green to the left and was unsuccessful in achieving a birdie. Woods played the front nine in four under.

The 11th hole is the fourth par five at Albony and is another good opportunity to make a birdie. The 15 time major winner had 95 yards for his third shot but failed to set up a birdie putt. Woods escaped the 11th with a par but made his first mistake as he three putted from 12 feet at the 13th hole. The 14th hole is a 301 yard par four and was in range to find the green in one shot. The bad momentum of a bogey at the 13th carried onto the next hole as Woods missed a four and a half putt for birdie.

The 15th at Albony is the fifth and final par five on the course. Woods hit another great drive and only had 182 yards for his second shot. Woods missed the green to the left and ended up in a bunker. Woods played a decent shot out of the bunker but a moment of madness followed as he hit his putt off the green. Woods ended up finishing this hole with a bogey. The 15th at Albony is one of the easiest holes on the course and a bogey on a par five feels like dropping two shots.

The 16th hole is one of the toughest holes on the back nine and Woods had 220 yards for his second shot. Woods came up short with a five iron and was unsuccessful in achieving a par. Woods played holes 13 to 16 in three over. Woods hit a nine iron at the par three 17th hole which found the middle of the green. Woods had a smile back on his face as he holed a sensational putt for birdie.

Woods tee shot at the 18th missed the fairway and found the rough. 15 time major winner had 172 yards for his second shot. Woods finished with a par after an excellent up and down. Woods shot a second round of two under to leave himself on one over at the halfway stage.
