A look ahead to Wednesday’s and Thursday’s Premier League games

Brighton & Hove Albion host Brentford at The AMEX Stadium. The last Premier League game that Brighton won at home was against Bournemouth on 24th of September. Brighton were unlucky not to get a draw against Chelsea as they played very well especially in the second half. Evan Ferguson’s last Premier League goal was away from home in Brighton’s win against Nottingham Forest. Brentford’s last away win was against Chelsea on 28th of October. Both teams to score but I think Brighton will win 2-1.

Fulham host Nottingham Forest at Craven Cottage. Fulham have scored six goals in their last two Premier League games against Wolves and Liverpool. Nottingham Forest would go above Fulham in the table if they achieved three points at Craven Cottage. Forest were very poor in their last game against Everton and will need a improvement against Fulham. I think Fulham will win 2-0.

Sheffield United host Liverpool at Bramell Lane. Sheffield United sacked manager Paul Heckingbottom after losing five nil against Burnley. Sheffield United replaced Heckingbottom with former manager Chris Wilder. Trent Alexander-Arnold has been remarkable since starting to play as a midfielder with massive goals against Man City and Fulham. Liverpool will close the gap on leaders Arsenal to two points with a win this evening. I believe Liverpool will win 0-3.

Crystal Palace host Bournemouth at Selhurst Park. Bournemouth have picked up good results recently with an away win against Sheffield United and a home draw against Aston Villa. Crystal Palace lost their last home game against Everton. Palace got an important point away from home last weekend against West Ham. I think this match will be a draw.

At 8:15pm it’s the meeting of Aston Villa against Man City at Villa Park. Man City have conceded eight goals in their last three Premier League games. Man City are now six points behind leaders Arsenal and can’t afford to drop anymore points. Aston Villa have been incredible especially with been unbeaten at home in 2023/2024 Premier League season. Ollie Watkins has been sensational as he has scored eight goals in 2023/2024 Premier League. I think Aston Villa will beat Man City 3-2.

The final game this evening is also at 8:15pm between Man United and Chelsea. Man United were very poor and were extremely lucky to only concede one goal against Newcastle at St James Park. Chelsea’s last four Premier League games have included two wins, one draw and a defeat against Newcastle. All Man United’s Premier League wins this season have been against teams in the bottom half of the table. It’s a big couple of weeks for Erik Ten Hag especially with so many tough games and low confidence in the squad. I’m hopeful that Man United can achieve a narrow home win.

Two games on Thursday which starts with Everton hosting Newcastle at Goodison Park. Everton got a great result away from home against Nottingham Forest. Sean Dyche is a great manager especially in a relegation battle. Newcastle had a good week recently with Premier League wins against Chelsea and Man United. Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope picked up a recent injury and it’s a huge blow to be without him. Newcastle will have too much for Everton especially on the counter attack and I think Eddie Howe’s men will win 3-1.

The final midweek Premier League game is between Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham. Spurs got an excellent draw against Man City away from home. Son Heung-Min has been sensational playing as the main striker as he has scored nine goals in 2023/2024 Premier League. West Ham’s last away Premier League win was against Burnley on 25th of November. I believe that Spurs will win 2-0.

Hope you enjoy the midweek Premier League games.
