Paddy’s picks: Premier League predictions
My preview for today’s Premier League games. Leeds United host Manchester United at Elland Road which is the second game between the two teams this week. The Merseyside derby is on Monday evening which is the clash of Liverpool versus Everton at Anfield. Another big day in the title race with Arsenal dropping points this weekend at home against Brentford.
Leeds are currently in 17th position and will need points to avoid the drop. Wilfried Gnonto is a fabulous talent and this continued as he scored a excellent goal against Man United at Old Trafford. Leeds are always looking to get one over Man United as the two teams have huge history. Leeds are still without a manager since they sacked Jesse Marsch but this will not affect the way Leeds line up. Man United have a great opportunity to close the gap on Arsenal to five points if they beat Leeds at Elland Road. Marcus Rashford is in incredible form and Ten Hag will be hoping that the form continues at Elland Road. Score prediction 1-1
Man City host Aston Villa at Etihad Stadium. It has been a tough week for Man City due to their financial issues. Pep Guardiola will be looking for a response after losing to Spurs last weekend. Aston Villa lost at home to Leicester in their last game. Aston Villa will be looking to hit the home side on the counter attack which other teams have got success out of earlier in the season at Etihad Stadium. This game was a thriller last season as Man City came from two goals down to win the title on the final day of 2021/2022 Premier League season. Score prediction 2-0
Everton travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool which will be shown on Monday Night Football. Sean Dyche got a fabulous result in his first game as they beat Arsenal one nil at home. Everton will play a similar game plan to their Arsenal win by sitting back and trying to create chances on the counter attack for striker Dominic Calwert-Lewin. Liverpool are currently in 10th position and have struggled this season. Jurgen Klopp will be looking for a massive improvement at home after losing their last game away to Wolves. Liverpool need to start winning games if they want to finish in the top four this season. This will be a difficult game for the home side due to Liverpool’s poor form and Everton receiving a bit of confidence since Sean Dyche took over as manager. Everton are in a relegation scrap and this could be a good time to take on Liverpool at Anfield due to a dip in form from Jurgen Klopp’s men. Score prediction 0-1
Hope you enjoy the action both today and tomorrow in the Premier League.
