Waste Management Phoenix Open

My predictions for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The headline player in the field is world number one and recent Dubai Desert Classic winner Rory McIlroy. The iconic par 3 16th is a star attraction at TPC Scottsdale with a stadium built around the hole. This tournament is a bit different as you see a lot of beer showers happening throughout the event.

Xander Schauffele finished tied third at the 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Schauffele also finished tied second at 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open. This course suits Schauffele due to his recent finishes in this event. My opinion is that Schauffele will win 2023 Waste Management Phoenix Open this weekend.

Scottie Scheffler likes this course as he finished tied seventh at 2021 Waste Management Phoenix Open. The 2022 edition was emotional for Scheffler as he won his first event on the PGA Tour at TPC Scottsdale. This was the start of Scheffler’s incredible run which included winning The Masters at Augusta in April. Scheffler will use the great memories to his advantage and my opinion is that the major champion will finish in the top five this weekend.

Sathin Theegala finished tied third at 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Theegala is coming into this tournament in good form after finishing tied fourth at 2023 Farmers Insurance Open. Theegala has a lot of potential and 2023 could be a big year for him. My opinion is that Theegala will finish in the top five this weekend.

Alex Noren started 2023 with a top five finish on the DP World Tour at Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. Noren finished tied sixth at 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open. Noren played at 2018 Ryder Cup at Paris National and will be hoping to make it onto Luke Donald’s team for Rome. My opinion is that Noren will finish in the top ten this weekend.

Webb Simpson won 2022 Waste Management Phoenix Open. This prediction is a wild one as he missed the cut at AT & T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last weekend. He is a good each way bet due to performing well on this course in the past as mentioned above. My opinion is that Simpson will finish in the top ten this weekend.

It’s a great line up for this event with major champions Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa and Scottie Scheffler all teeing up at TPC Scottsdale. It has the potential to be a fantastic event and hope you enjoy it over the weekend.
