Paddy’s picks: January 2020
A preview to the weekends sporting events
Starting with soccer with no Premier League on this weekend because of the Fa Cup I will predict a few games in this competition. Starting with Leicester travelling to take on Brentford with Brentford playing well at home and Leicester making a few changes they could be a shock in this match with the home side winning. Leicester won the match 1 nil and the match was played at 12:30 on Saturday 25th January
A tough test for the blues as Chelsea travel to Hull to take on the tigers I think this match could be a draw because Chelsea concede a lot of goals at the moment plus Hull will have the home crowd behind them which will drive them on to create some chances. Chelsea won the match by 2 goals to 1 and the match was played at 5:30 on Saturday 25th January.
Tottenham have a big match this weekend because it’s a great opportunity to take the competition seriously in winning something but they are up against an in form Southampton team they will have to keep their deadly striker Danny Ings quiet if Spurs are going to win the match. The match ended in a draw and it was played at 3pm on Saturday 25th January
Fulham face a daunting trip as they travel to Manchester to take on Man city city have a great record in this competition so it could be a ong afternoon for Fulham. Man city won the match by 4 goals to nil and the match was played at 2pm on Sunday 26th January
This competition is a great opportunity for Man United to win a trophy because this is their only chance of winning something and the opposition that their playing is Tranmere and they are 2 leagues below them I think that United will win the match by at least 3 clear goals. Man United won the match by 6 goals to nil and the match was played at 4pm on Sunday 26th January
With Liverpool flying high in the league this is a good chance for them to rest a few of their important players and if Shrewsbury see this this could give the home team which is Shrewsbury a bit of extra confidence to get something from the match. The match ended in a draw and the match was played on Sunday 26th January at 6pm
Last game of the weekend was Bournemouth vs Arsenal with the cherries at home it’s a chance to give the gunners a match but I think Arsenal will win the match because it’s a great chance for Arsenal to win something this season if they take this competition seriously. Arsenal won the match by 2 goals to 1 and the match was played at 8pm on Monday 27th January
To golf next with the European tour playing their second tournament in Dubai I think that Tommy Fleetwood will win the event because the course suits his game. Lucas Herbert won the event and the event was played from Thursday 23rd January until Sunday 26th January
On the Pga tour it was the first big event of the season as some of the big names turned up to play in the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines I think that Rory McIlroy will win the event because he’s the most consistent player in the game at the moment. Marc Leishman won the event and the event took place from Thursday 23rd January until Sunday 26th January
Gaa to finish with the Allianz league starting this weekend and the clash of Dublin and Kerry to kick things off I think that the Dubs will win the match by 3 points. The match ended in a draw and was played at 7pm on Saturday 25th January
Donegal started their league campaign with a home game against Mayo I think Mayo win the game because they have a stronger squad than Donegal. This match ended in a draw and was played on Saturday 25th January at 7pm
Tyrone having to move to another ground at the last minute they could be in a shock but I think they will do enough to beat Meath because they more quality players on their team than Meath. Tyrone won the match by 5 points and the match was played on Sunday 26th January at 2pm
Last but not least in Division 1 was the clash of Galway and Monaghan with Monaghan been in the league for a few seasons now I think that the experience of Monaghan will get them over the line. Galway won the match by 1 point and the match was played at 2pm on Sunday 26th January
Cheers
