Paddy Morgan looks ahead to today’s Premier League action

Fulham take on Brentford at Craven Cottage. Marco Silva’s men got off to a perfect start as they won away from home against Everton. Silva has done a remarkable job with Fulham since been back in the Premier League. Raul Jimenez is an experienced striker in the Premier League and he was a great signing for Fulham. Brentford showed a lot of character as they came from two nil down to get a draw against Spurs. It will be interesting to see how Brentford get on without their number one striker Ivan Toney. Score prediction 2-1

Wolverhampton Wanders welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Molineux. Wolves were outstanding against Manchester United at Old Trafford and were robbed of a penalty in injury time. Wolves created a lot of chances against Man United but they need to be more clinical in front of goal. Brighton got off to a fantastic start as they scored four goals in their home win against Luton. Roberto De Zerbi continues to do a excellent job at Brighton considering they lost their two best players in Alexis MacAllister and Maises Caicedo. Score prediction 1-3

Liverpool take on AFC Bournemouth at Anfield. Liverpool’s midfield is going through transition as they lost their extraordinary pairing of Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and James Milner. Jurgen Klopp’s still has fantastic forwards to choose from which includes Mo Salah who was outstanding at Stamford Bridge. Bournemouth conceded nine goals last season at Anfield and will be looking for a better afternoon today. The Cherries got off to a decent start with a draw against West Ham. Score prediction 3-0

The other game at 3pm is Luton Town against Burnley. Burnley got off to a terrible start as they lost at home to Manchester City. Both teams were promoted from the Championship and it will be interesting to see how they both perform this season. It will be great to see Luton’s stadium as the away team has to go through a housing estate to get to the ground. Luton and Burnley lost by big scorelines last weekend and both sides will be looking for a clean sheet. Score prediction 1-1

At 5:30pm is the clash of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. Man United were very lucky to win their opening game against Wolves. Away from home will suit Erik Ten Hag’s men as they will play on the counter attack through the pace of Marcus Rashford. Raphael Verane is a great defender but the pace of Son Heung-min and Richarlison could make it difficult for Man United’s defence. Spurs were disappointing in their opening game as they let a two goal lead slip and ended up drawing against Brentford. Spurs will be looking to put in a good performance as it’s the first home game since Harry Kane left for Bayern Munich. Score prediction 2-3

The final game today is Manchester City and Newcastle United at 8pm. It’s great that there is a game at 8pm and this should happen more often this season. Newcastle laid down a marker last weekend as they scored five against Aston Villa. If Newcastle are looking to improve this season and get closer to the top spot they need to pick up results against the big teams. Man City won the Super Cup during the week but looked very vulnerable on the counter attack. Kevin De Bruyne is ruled out for four months and this is a huge blow for Pep Guardiola’s men. Man City have lost a couple of key players in the transfer window which includes their past captain IIikay Gundogen. Losing Gundogan won’t bother Guardiola as Man City still have multiple unbelievable players which includes striker Erling Haaland. Score prediction 2-2

Hope you enjoy the today’s Premier League games.
