Premier League predictions for Saturday 25th February 2023

My preview for today’s Premier League games. No early game today due to Newcastle playing in the EFL Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley tomorrow. In the title race Arsenal travel to the King Power to take on Leicester and Manchester City travel to the Vitality Stadium to take on struggling AFC Bournemouth. Also there is a huge relegation clash at bottom of the table as Leeds United host Southampton at Elland Road.

Everton have been fantastic at home since Sean Dyche has come in with achieving two one nil wins against Leeds and Arsenal. Everton do struggle to score goals as two scorers in their home wins were defenders. Aston Villa have conceded 11 goals in their last three Premier League games. Villa do have a goal in them as they have an in form striker in Ollie Watkins. Score prediction 0-2

Leeds are struggling and desperately need a win. Patrick Bamford is a legend with Leeds but he has been poor since returning to fitness. Leeds can’t keep a clean sheet and struggle to score a goal which is a terrible combination in a relegation scrap. Southampton achieved a great result in their last away game as they won one nil against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. You can’t afford to concede a free-kick against Southampton as James Ward-Prowse is lethal at set pieces. Score prediction 1-1

Leicester played really well at Old Trafford and should have been ahead at half time only for fantastic saves by David De Gea. Leicester will play a similar game plan against Arsenal with been a threat on the counter attack. Arsenal were lucky to return to winning ways against Aston Villa as their third goal could have been disallowed by VAR. Every game will be tough for Arsenal until the end of the season with the pressure of trying to win the Premier League title. The Gunners play before Man City and this matters a lot in a title race. Score prediction 1-2

West Ham are also in a relegation scrap and host Nottingham Forest at the London Stadium. West Ham folded very easy in the second half against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend. David Moyes is still in charge at West Ham but could lose his job if they lose today at home against Forest. Steve Cooper has done a incredible job with Forest and this continued last week as they got a great draw at home against Man City. Forest will have plans of finishing in the top half of the Premier League as they are currently only six points behind 10th place Chelsea. Score prediction 0-2

Bournemouth host Man City at half five. Man City have struggled away from home this season which includes losing to Man United, Spurs and only drawing against Nottingham Forest. City were very lucky to get a draw against Red Bull Leipzig as the German side were fantastic in the second half. Bournemouth will defend deep against City and try to create chances on the counter attack. It will be attack versus defence similar to Forest against City last weekend. Kevin De Bruyne is a big blow for Man City and they are not the same team without him. Score prediction 1-3

There is an eight o clock game today between Crystal Palace and Liverpool. It will be interesting to see how Liverpool respond after losing 5-2 to Real Madrid. Palace will fancy their chances as Liverpool have massive problems at the back. With Liverpool still in contention for top four they can’t afford to drop points. Palace are capable of getting a great result at home as they achieved a home draw against both Newcastle and Man United this season. Score prediction 1-1

Hope you enjoy the action today.
